This cavity is about the size of a 200-seats airplane, and was discovered by a team of researchers who have been scanning the pyramid for the past few years using particles to map it.

This discovery was extremely mediatized, with the team speculating whether this cavity is a secret chamber or just an empty space.

Meanwhile, an Egypt archaeologist criticized the team, as, from what he claimed, this cavity was already known beforehand. He added it is common for entire sections of the Great Pyramid to have such cavities.
