Announced back in September 2019, Huawei’s latest high-end smartphone, the Mate 30 Pro, is finally out in Belgium, two months after landing on our continent. The smartphone is currently exclusively available at the Huawei Experience Store in Brussels from today onwards, Friday 24th. Pricing-wise, the device retails for the official price of 1 099€, VAT included. For the launch batch, only 200 units are available.
The smartphone comes without Google services, and, instead, the customer gets Huawei’s mobile services, together with their app store, AppGallery. As we’ve previously seen in a different article, more and more developers are releasing their applications to this app store, with multiple applications aimed at the Belgian market already available, such as itsme, BPost or My BASE.
The variant available is the same model we find in all other European countries, being the 4G version, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. Colours-wise, only the “Space Silver” variant is available.
In terms of promotions, buyers will be getting a cover to protect the back of their new smartphone, as well as the new wireless charger for the car, announced by the manufacturer at the launch presentation of the Mate 30 series. This wireless charger is compatible with Huawei’s 27W wireless charging, which is the fastest wireless charging currently available on the market. The system is quite interesting, with the accessory opening and closing when detecting a hand nearby, allowing users to easily pick up or place their device on it. This charger usually retails for 59.99€.
As in other European countries, those who decide to keep the device after a period of 30 days will be getting, for free, the Watch GT 2, which usually retails for 229.99€. Those that aren’t convinced by the device will be able to return it but within 15 days, but, obviously, they will not be receiving the Watch GT 2.
The Huawei Experience Store is open all days except Sunday, from 10:30 to 19:00. Clients are welcomed by a competent and welcoming staff, speaking various languages such as French, English, Chinese or even Romanian. The shop is located in the city-centre of the Belgian capital, near the metro stop of De Brouckère, and is therefore easily accessible by public transport.
