Now, at IFA 2018, Richard Yu showcased the new colours, prices and release dates.
The P20 series was announced in March in Paris, selling over 10 million units since launch. The company expects to sell 20 million of them before the release of the next P series.
For the colours, there are two colours that will be available for both the P20 and P20 Pro, and two exclusive to the P20 Pro, getting 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, instead of the regular 6GB/128GB version.
The P20 will now also be available in two new colours: pearl white and aurora. The price remains the same, 649€, as well as the specs, being 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. These two new colours should be available as soon as the 5th of September.
The P20 Pro is getting four new colours: pearl white and aurora, priced at 899€ and with the same specs as the regular models, being 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, and two leather versions, being brown and black leather. The leather is supposedly genuine leather. The brown and black leather versions will cost 999€ but will have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Release date should be the same as the new P20s, meaning 5th of September. The leather P20 Pro models will supposedly only be available in China.
As per usual, it’ll be interesting to see which markets get which colours.
