Just a few days before the official meeting between North Korea and the US, North & South Korea held a surprise summit out of nowhere.

Saturday 26th of May 2018, North & South Korea held a surprise summit out of nowhere, some days after US President Donald Trump cancelled the 12th of June meeting, due to North Korea’s “aggressiveness”. The next day, Mr. Trump reopened the possibility of the Summit being held the 12th of June.
This is the second time the leaders of both countries met, and both meetings took place the same month.
Mr. Kim Jong-Un and Mr. Moon met for around two hours in the demilitarized zone and talked about the progress of the US-North Korea Summit.

- 24th of May 2018: Trump cancelled the North Korean-US Summit. The next day, he reopened the possibility.
- 27th of April 2018: North & South Korea held a meeting in the demilitarized zone. This was the first meeting between both countries since the end of the Korean war in 1953.
