Our Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ has just received a new update, adding compatibility between the FreeBuds 4 and Super Device. This update also optimises system power consumption in certain scenarios.
We do not have the Huawei FreeBuds 4 and are thus unable to test this update, with our best guess being that this adds the FreeBuds 4 to the “Super Device” tab on the control panel of our smartphone:
This new update changes the version from NOP-AN00 2.0.0.136(C00E135R6P2patch03) to NOP-AN00 2.0.0.138(C00E135R6P2) and is 194 MB in size.
The patch notes read as following:
- This update adds support for connections with the HUAWEI FreeBuds 4 earphones via Super Device.
- [Super Device] Adds support for connections with the HUAWEI FreeBuds 4 earphones (updated to the latest version), facilitating seamless collaboration between the phone and earphones.
- [System] Optimizes system power consumption in certain scenarios for extended use.
