In the morning of monday 16th, a letter from Puigdemont arrived to ‘La Moncloa’ (Residence of the president).

In this letter, the president of the Generalitat (local government of Catalonia) didn’t specify whether he had declared independence or not. Instead, he was asking for 2 months to ‘talk’. After receiving this letter, the president of the Spanish Government, Mariano Rajoy, replied by also sending a letter, saying that this ‘talk’ has to happen inside the law, in other words, before thursday.
