Yesterday, Tuesday 19th, part of the European neighbourhood in Brussels, where most of the European institutions are located, was closed off due to a bomb threat. In the morning, a company working for the European Commission received a phone call claiming there was a bomb in their offices. The office in question was evacuated, with the Police closing off part of the neighbourhood to the traffic, until confirming there was no bomb in the building. Some 40 people had to be temporarily evacuated.
The Police has decided to open an investigation on the matter.
