Huawei’s Mate Xs has just received a new update, with, according to the patch notes, the April 2020 security patch. However, this is rather curious, as we had already received an update at the beginning of this month claiming to have April’s 2020 security patch, together with various other general improvements to the system.
Of course, it’s also possible that Huawei released the previous update to fix various issues with the system and included part of the security patches released until then, before releasing the rest in this separate update.
Regardless of the reason behind this “double patch”, this update changes the version from TAH-N29m 10.0.1.138(C432E2R2P1) to TAH-N29m 10.0.1.139(C432E2R2P1) and is only 192 MB in size.
The patch notes read as following:
- [Security] Integrates Android security patches released in April 2020 for improved system security. For more information on the security of Huawei EMUI system updates, please visit the official Huawei website: https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/bulletin/2020/4/.
