Last month, Huawei’s Nova 3i, sold in Europe as the P Smart+ (2018), received May’s 2020 security patch. This month, instead of receiving June’s security patch, we’ve received an update improving compatibility with some third-party applications. This patch has been released on a number of Huawei devices, from recent models all the way to old models such as the Mate 9. While it is unclear which applications the manufacturer is referring to, on our Mate Xs, this patch solved some issues with Twitter and other similar applications, which had issues working properly.
This new update changes the version from INE-LX1 9.1.0.297(C432E1R1P1) to INE-LX1 9.1.0.297(C432E1R1P1patch01) and is only 20.68 MB in size.
The patch notes read as following:
- This update improves system compatibility with certain third-party apps.
