Emmanuel Macron, France’s current president, has been invited to Denmark by Her Majesty The Queen.

Macron will be visiting Denmark the 28th and 29th August 2018. This is the second state visit of France since the current Queen arrived to the throne in 1972.
The first visit was all the way back in 1982, when the then-president, François Mitterrand, visited the country.
A few years before, in 1978, The Queen and her now deceased husband, The Prince Henrik, went on a state visit to France.
