The Honor 10 GT is Honor’s (and, indirectly, Huawei’s) first smartphone with 8GB of RAM. Up until now, the Chinese manufacturer only released devices with up to 6GB of RAM.

But apart from this, the Honor 10 GT doesn’t have any other differences from the regular Honor 10. The specs of this model are as follow:

  • Kirin 970 with NPU for AI, GPU Turbo already installed
  • 8GB of RAM (6GB on regular Honor 10)
  • 128GB of internal storage, no microSD card slot
  • 5.84” screen, with 2280×1080 pixels resolution, notch
  • Fingerprint sensor at the front
  • Front camera, double camera at the back
  • 3 400mAh battery, USB-C charger
  • Headphone jack
  • EMUI 8.1
  • Usual connectivity options, Bluetooth 4.2
  • Available in 1 colour: Phantom Blue
  • Pricing should be around 400 euros (Without VAT)

As for the GPU Turbo tech, as (probably) mentioned in another one of our articles, it should increase performance in games by 60% while decreasing battery consumption by 30%. These are bold claims, until one checks how Huawei achieved this. The way Huawei manages to improve performance and decrease battery usage is by individually optimising each game, just as AMD and Nvidia do with PC games. This means that once the smartphone receives the GPU Turbo update, it will support a range of games that will have been optimised, starting by PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The company specifies more titles will be coming later on.
