In a rather confusing announcement, Huawei UK has given a schedule for the roll-out of the stable version of EMUI10 in the country. While dozens of countries in Europe have already received stable EMUI10 for the P30 and P30 Pro, in the UK, the situation is rather weird, as some devices did receive the update, while others are left waiting. Now, the company has announced that EMUI10 will be coming in February 2020 and onwards for the United Kingdom, with this update concerning the following models for now:
- P30 Pro
- P30
- P30 Lite
- Mate 20 Pro
- Mate 20
- Mate 20 X (4G)
- Mate 20 X (5G)
- Nova 5T
- P Smart 2019
For the P30 Lite and Mate 20 series, EMUI10 is currently available in beta for users to test, although this beta having opened weeks ago, it is likely already filled. Other devices which should see a beta sooner or later are the P20 and Mate 10 series, although the final version will likely not come out until the beginning of 2020.
In any case, EMUI10 is not that interesting compared to EMUI9.0 or EMUI9.1. As per usual, the new variant has a few visual changes left and right, and introduces a full dark mode for the overall system on devices using non-LCD displays, but users shouldn’t get desperate, thinking they are missing out on something. Those interested can check out our comparison articles between EMUI9.1 and EMUI10, which cover in detail the changes and functions introduced.
