In July of this year, Huawei, the world’s second largest smartphone manufacturer and the market leader in telecommunications equipment, opened their biggest store in Europe in the Spanish capital, on the Gran Vía of Madrid. In this store, fans and clients can discover the novelties of the brand, on top of receiving after-sales service, in a shop of 1 100 square metres. In theory, after the opening, the company had the intention of opening a second flagship store in Barcelona, but it would seem things are not going the way the manufacturer would like to.

Instead, Huawei has just announced the opening of their second store in the Spanish capital, located in the commercial centre of La Gavia, one of the biggest commercial centres of Madrid, with over 15 million visitors a year. This store will be opening this Sunday 5th of January, just in time to buy gifts for the Three Wise Men [in Spanish, Reyes Magos]. On top of this, the brand has announced that the first 300 to come will be getting a gift, in other words, will receive some kind of prize from the manufacturer.

Meanwhile, and as we’ve already mentioned, Huawei had the intention of opening their second flagship store in our country in November, although it would seem the construction works in the 750 square metres store have been delayed. For now, the manufacturer hasn’t announced a new opening date for the store in Barcelona, store which is located on the Plaza de Cataluña.

With this expansion strategy on the European continent, the smartphone manufacturer has the intention of getting closer to customers, and therefore reduce its reliance in other distribution channels, such as traditional carriers or electronics stores. On top of this, Huawei can use these stores to release new products, such as the Mate 30 Pro, as well as providing better support to customers.
