Next week, on the 26th, Huawei is expected to unveil their new P40 series, raising once again the standard of mobile photography. So far, the company has published two short teasers of what to expect on the P40 series, although, of course, most of the details are already known, due to numerous leaks.
Now, it appears the company will also be launching various new wearables alongside the P40 series, starting with a new variant of their popular smartwatch, the Huawei Watch GT 2. This is not the first time the manufacturer launches a new version of their Watch GT during the P series launch, with the P30 series coming together with 4 new variants of the original Watch GT: two with a 46mm case and two smaller ones with a 42mm case. The brand has already spoilt the name of this wearable, calling it Watch GT 2e. Here’s the short teaser published on various of Huawei’s social media accounts:
This teaser doesn’t show anything special, and only reveals that this new smartwatch can be used for sport activities, just as the previous models of the Watch GT line-up. Huawei didn’t stop there, posting three different drawings of their new product, with each having a different coloured strap and the tagline “Play more”:
Finally, on the original post on Weibo, Huawei also used the hashtag “#PlayFor2weeks”, hinting at a battery lasting for 2 weeks, which is, once again, the same as previous Watch GT models. This post also asks “Technology or fashion?”, with which we can deduce the Watch GT 2e will be oriented towards sport activities but will remain fashionable at the same time.
