Huawei’s Mate RS Porsche Design has just received the security patch for the month of July 2020, continuing the nearly uninterrupted track-record of this device. After all, the P20 Pro is still stuck on the security patch of April 2020, after having received the EMUI10 update roughly at the same time as the Mate RS, which is surprising, as both devices are essentially the same specifications-wise, if not for the extra internal storage and the addition of the wireless charging. Coming back to the Mate RS, this new patch doesn’t include any other changes.
This new update changes the version from NEO-L29 10.0.0.163(C721E8R1P2) to NEO-L29 10.0.0.165(C721E8R1P2) and is 235 MB in size.
The patch notes read as following:
- [Security] Integrates Android security patches released in July 2020 for improved system security. For more information on the security of Huawei EMUI system updates, please visit the official Huawei website: https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/bulletin/2020/7/.
