After a long exceptional closure between the 2nd and the 15th of December, the Huawei Experience Store in Brussels re-opened its doors this past Monday 16th, welcoming customers in a new, refreshed environment.
This renovation had been planned since a long time ago. Already at the end of 2018, while we were talking with a manager from Huawei Belgium, this one was already discussing the renovation project, and we had the opportunity, at the beginning of this year, of seeing the layout of the new store, as well as the furniture that was going to be used and placed in the shop. But first, here’s a picture of the shop from the beginning of this year, before the renovation:
We then went to the store on Tuesday 17th of December to have a look at the changes, and here are some pictures:
As it can be seen in these pictures, quite a lot of things have changed. The service desk area has been moved from the left to the back of the store, where the technical area was previously located. The engineers are now behind a glass window, in their own little room, simplifying their work quite a lot. Previously, various clients would come ask them questions, and therefore interrupt their work, thinking they were there to take care of customers and sales.
We can also notice the addition of extra seats, which allows clients that are waiting to sit down, or allow those who’ve just purchased a new smartphone in the store to set it up without having to be standing up.
The store also appears to be a lot bigger than in the past, as well as more welcoming, thanks to the new placement of the tables:
Presentation-wise, we can find a TV from Huawei, the smart TV “Huawei Vision”, presented in September of this year, together with the presentation of the Mate 30 series. Sadly, this product will not be sold in Europe, which is a shame, although, regardless, it remains an interesting product to see. This device uses Huawei’s in-house operating system, HarmonyOS, OS which appears to be quite polished and reactive.
We can also see some kind of perfume/air filter, which forms part of the Huawei HiLink ecosystem, ecosystem that allows users to connect and control from far away various connected objects, such as lightbulbs, washing machines, fridges, etc:
Huawei customers will be delighted to know that they will be welcomed by a welcoming and competent staff, at the heart of Europe, with the shop being located in the city-centre of Brussels, close to the metro stop of De Brouckère. The shop is re-opening with its usual timetable, being from 10:30 to 19:00 every day except on Sundays.
Update: in our previous visit, the Huawei Experience Store hadn’t placed the demo devices on the tables. After another visit, the tables are now covered with smartphones, smartwatches, tablets or laptops, which customers can try before buying.
