Huawei’s Mate RS Porsche Design finally received a new update, after months without getting anything. The last time the Mate RS got any updates was at the end of August of this year, when it received the security patch for August 2019. That same month, the device had also received EMUI9.1, bringing various new features such as EROFS, GPU Turbo 3.0 or Huawei Vlog.
Now, the Mate RS Porsche Design finally received a new update, which includes the security patch for the month of October 2019. Surprisingly, this update is quite large, being 3.89 GB, although other devices have received similar sized patches, with us guessing this is just Huawei pushing out the whole OS in a single package for whatever reason.
This update changes the version from NEO-L29 9.1.0.313(C721E8R1P9) to NEO-L29 9.1.0.316(C721E9R1P11) and is 3.89 GB in size.
The patch notes read as following:
- [Security] Integrates Android security patches released in October 2019 for improved system security. For more information on the security of Huawei EMUI system updates, please visit the official Huawei website: https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/bulletin/2019/10/.
